This event promises to be one of the highlights of the German-Russian friendship year. For three days Gorky Park will be taking on a new look inspired by modern Germany and in particular German street culture. Famous street artists will be leaving their mark on the park, while there will be concerts by famous modern German stars throughout the weekend. To give the whole event a particularly Teutonic feel special new kiosks will be installed selling traditional German snacks such as pretzels, gingerbread cookies and, of course, sausages.

Concerts:
Sep 15
RotFront - 6p.m.
Jan Delay and Disco No 1 - 8.30 p.m.

Sep 16
Irie Revoltes - 8 p.m. (singing in French for some reason)

Full program (in Russian):

...but will it beat the Oktoberfest?

Does it have to? We can have and enjoy both: the street culture festival in September and the Octoberfest in October!

I was just kidding! :) Actually, a street festival can be far nicer and more fun than a mega-beer-event. Besides, for people who work in Munich visiting the Oktoberfest is kind of a voluntary "must" - my colleagues and I are even get paid working time for taking our clients there. Kind of limits the joy.

Have fun, wished I could join!
