My doctor just put me on Lipitor. Yipee! (NOT.)

I read a thread in here someplace that mentioned a site where you could enter a medication name in English and get the Russian name, and then do a search on some Russian pharmacy site to see if they carry it. Anybody know where that thread is?? Been looking for it all morning.

Or, does anyone simply know if I'll be able to get Lipitor when I get there?

Thanks!

I found that pfizer only on 22 of November had its site go-live.
So may be you can put your question directly there
Feedback (http://www.pfizer.ru/eng/about/?id=12)

But I didn't find Lipidor among the list of their products published on the site.

You will have to ask for липитор or Аторвастатин (this is analog name, there others also).
Seems like I failed to find this medicine now in Moscow, but at least it is known

Thanks Margo. I'll check the site out.

Where you entered the analog names, it seems (at least from my computer screen) that the characters aren't coming out properly.

In the meantime, I'll see if I can get a large supply before I get there.

Heck--maybe I'll just take the "devil may care attitude" and not take the meds and eat all the cholesterol laden foods I can find.... yum!!

Don't know about Lipitor, but Zocor is available here (& very expensive). Check w/your doc if perhaps you can switch to Zocor.
