I haven't been there for a while and not since they improved it but I am so impressed with what they've done.

It use to look cheap, scruffy and full of the kind of person you wouldn't want to meet in a dark alley - either because they'd kick the living cr*p out of you or give you a transmittable disease that would require a visit to the VD clinic.

why are you still here? Go, go, go!

Haven't been there for ages. Have heard it's changed, but can't imagine it'll blow my mind - it's just a park after all... What exactly did you like?

The park is much, MUCH better now. Well, they've turned it into a normal park where one can ride a bicycle, play a game, basically - unwind after a long day.
I'm eager to see what it'll look like when winter comes. Maybe it's finally time to buy skates...

You used to be able to rent skates there in the winter - I assume it is still the same. But skates are not expensive to buy and you are guaranteed a comfortable fit each time you skate if you have your own skates.

Source Nathan Toohey at 14/08/2012

Gorky Park has launched its own iPhone app. The app not only lets users orientate themselves around the park using an interactive map, but also provides information about scheduled events and everyday activities, letting them add the events to their own calendars.

The app is currently only available for the iPhone, but a version for the fashionable iPad and geek-pleasing Android phones is also planned to be released shortly. Version 2.0 is planned to offer even more features including the ability to book areas, receive discount offers, play interactive games and more.
