football game North Korea- Columbia.
Someone played the South Korean anthem and the South Korean flag was hoisted. The North Koreans were not amused and walked off. Good for them.
Politics is one thing and sport another.

And Lukashenko wasn't given a visa to London to oversee his team at the Olympic games.

Very lame, everything is about politics, not sport and friendship...

Now we have the seating scandal..

There's a big a fuss about empty seats.. VIPs, heads of state, IOC members haven't even bothered to turn up for the start of the games.

No call for such a paranoid and cynical comment. It was simple stupidity, akin to when GW misspoke the Balkans for the Baltics.

But then anything is possible...

i have seen the clip also, on Austrian TVm and they are giving the seats now to the Army, after all there it goes quick, one phonecall and 500 men are there. Maybe let also kids have a go at it. orphanages and the like, i know it might be an organizing nightmare but with a little bit of goodwill also that should be possible.
It is a shame indeed, well organized games and the seats are one third empty. this is also not nice for the sportswomen and -man who have worked so hard and need to be cheered on, hard to do in an -empty- stadion.

Now we hear that students, teachers and retired army personnel will be brought in to fill these empty seats. This happens in Uzbekistan, I am a first hand witness to this and now in Britain too. Finally the separating curtain lifts. Same sh*t just different as* hole.
