Evilgrin asides, I tend to agree. A nice dog is offered but the chance of taking him/her are small.

I've seen more threads like this. Owners who LOVE their pets to death but still want to get rid of them.

It always, to me, seems the easy way out: post it on a forum and hope for some compassion.

For dogs, it works in a different way. They will not have any clue about why their respected, adored, loved owner left them behind. The sheer thought about leaving my dog, who is a darling to my kids, behind is upsetting, to put it mildly.

Yet, if any pet is in this type of position, I dearly hope that someone takes this innocent companion in.
