What is it like to be a teacher?

I thought that perhaps teaching could be more effective if a student could put himself/herself in the teacher`s shoes (figuratively speaking of course, I don't want anybody to steal my new ones and leave his old ones), and the teacher could put himself / herself in the student`s shoes.

I'm a Russian teacher for foreigners. And I study English, French and German. That's why I understand my students. I understand what's it studing foreign language.
Teaching is interesting.

I can see where you're going with these "What's it like to be a .......?" threads. There's one that I've always wondered about, but it's 18+, so I can't ask here. :D:D:D

Please tell us because this is the most mind boggling exercise I've seen in a long time. I've told this guy all jobs are krap; that's why people pay you to do them.

However, I'll give him my pick of a great job: male prostitute serving only young attractive women. There. That's a winner!

Well, he started out as a programmer and moved up the ladder to become a teacher. I'm sure the latter offers a lot more quality time with attractive young women, especially if one specialises in language teaching in particular.

I've thought about becoming Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin myself, but I'm not sure how to get started. I think I'll have to improve my Russian.

In other news, communist dictators appear to enjoy similar benefits:

Quite impressive for a man whose appearance gives the impression that he's a raving homosexual. If it weren't for the aforementioned article and the fact that he was an evil tyrant, the following photos would lead me to believe that he was part of Elton John's inner circle...

Afraid I must differ with you there. No self respecting gay person would ever allow themselves to be seen in public looking like that.

But if shurale is looking for maximum "quality time" with women, he should just take the job that pays the most money, maybe banditto?

For a guy who lives in a communist style-vacume, I think he's doing a fine job of looking anything but straight. Those women's glasses say it all.

Well, don't confuse drag or just poor taste with being gay. Here's the low down on the late, great, Dear Leader's sexual preferences. Seems he was exclusively a lady's man despite the weird shades:

Gentlemen!

In this heated discussion you are demonstrating a most twisted logic!

The starting point of the argument concerns teaching, while the end of it deals with a person being\looking gay or being a freak.

I just cannot make two and two together! :)

You have to read Shurale's other threads to understand.
And it isn't heated at all. We're joking! :D

Here's the connection lacrima: work is twisted.

Dear forumers,

I have a student who is 19 and who wants to be a programmer. The student is very driven and I really want him to succeed.
That is why I posted elsewhere about being a programmer...
