Sitting at work.. 8pm. Don't want to go home. Call my buddy up. He's at home, also wants to get out. So we decide to meet up and go check out this pyramid that I've heard off on the New Riga highway.

The pyramid is about 20km from MKAD. Unfortunately when we got there it was almost 10pm so we couldn't figure out what was inside, but I'll definitely come back on a weekend.

Photos don't do it justice, the thing is very very cool. And there's a pretty nice view from where it stands as well. Anyone know why it's there? As far as I understood, it's some sort of weird museum/shop..

Here's a quick pic from my iPhone:

Also, to make this post more interesting, there are a bunch of huge matryoshkas on the top floor of AmphiMall beside Moscow City:

The matryoshkas themselves are garbage but the sheer size of them is pretty impressive.

And some more random pics..
My favorite bridge in Russia:

The weird glass ball on top was supposed to be a restaurant (there are elevators on the side of the bridge) but they ran out of investment funding so it stands empty.

Visited Tula region this past weekend as well. Russia is a truly beautiful country. It's nice to get out of Moscow sometimes. Good change of scenery compared to the traffic that I'm so used to by now.

Cheers!

Also, I found the only proper traffic light in Russia which is ABOVE the intersection so that you can actually see it!

Where can I buy me one of these?

Dunno. Search other links, they sell palm/desk-top ones, maybe other sizes too.
Or build yourself at your dacha, if any.

Read the website. Sounds like complete BS...

Alexander Golod, who coordinated groups of scientists in Russia, carried out scientific studies for over a decade in fiberglass Pyramids built by him. The results showed significant positive effects for both biological and non-biological materials. The largest Pyramid built by Alexander Golod in Russia is 44 meters (144 feet) high and weights 55 tons.

Some of the scientific results of previous studies with Golden Section Pyramids built by Alexander Golod show:

The Immune system of organisms increased upon exposure in the pyramid (Scientific Research Institute named by Mechnikov, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences);

Specific properties of medicines increase with decreasing side effects after exposure in the Pyramid (SRI of Virology named by Ivanovskiy, Russian Academy of Medical Sciences);

Agricultural seeds placed in the pyramid showed a 30-100% increase in yield;

Russian military radar detected an energy column above the Pyramids built by Alexander Golod which is thought to have repaired the Ozone layer in Russia (the same can be done for example in Australia);

The pathogenic strength of different viruses and bacteria becomes less with exposure in the pyramid;

The amount of radioactivity becomes less after exposure in the pyramid.

Either way, entrance inside the pyramid is free from 10am-9pm. So I'll definitely go on a weekend.

mrzuzzo, thanks a lot for the topic. I'm Russian and living in Moscow almost 10years, and I never heard before about this pyramid. It is pretty fun to know about Russian place of interest from guy who is not Russian :).

That's where they're building the 'New Las Vegas'. I'm getting my chips before the lines start building up.

Sitting at work.. 8pm. Don't want to go home.
I usualy fly to Germany, Spain, or Italy when I feel like that. I just fly there, touch the 300-year old stone and go back. Makes me feel good.

That sounds super lame. Sitting in an airplane for 6 hours would not make me "feel good".
