Is this a scam, and if so what do you think they want? In the last 2 days I have received 4 SKYPE connection requests from people claiming to be US service personnel, yesterday I got a Specialist, followed by a Master Sergeant, and a Captain, this morning I got a request from a lady Major - I've ignored the requests so far in the hope that I can climb through the ranks and talk to TCIC, I live in hope, but has anybody else got this kind of action on SKYPE, and if so have you responded and what did they say?

They prob have a buddy who is a seal team 6 member, who just before they iced osama, was told about the secret and real location of his fantastic wealth.

now, since they are in the military, they can't travel to the undisclosed location, and since the US gov tracks all of the bank accounts, they need to find a 3rd party to a) travel to that location or b) give them your bank account details so that they may, for only a small fee, transfer the entire sum of 2-3bn usd into your acct.

Oh man it's so obvious when you put it like that! Brilliant I can just forward them the same note I gave to the nice Nigerian geezer who wrote to me last week, it's just struck me that luck and the internet have made me richer than my wildest dreams, maybe I'll buy Greece.

Sweet, but clangers and indeed soup dragons are by rule pacifists, maybe my previous incarnation as a womble has come back to haunt me...

'spammers? Oh pooh looks like Greece'lll have to wait - I don't mind the contact requests, I've only had 20ish from random strangers in the last 3 years, the thing that initiated my inquiry was that 4 of these 20 came in the last 24 hours from what appears to be the American army, makes you wonder eh?

My father has a similar thing on Skype but it's for meeting 'Russian girls'. I guess it's a case of 'location, location, location'.
