Hey guys, as usual the internet is not helping me much, so I've turned to you, in Russian tradition, to ask a person, not try to find information in a book or any such silly thing.

Are there bookstores which buy used books? I have a bunch of English textbooks, dictionaries, and hardbacks I want to sell.

If I can't find anyone to buy them, I'll give them to charity just to get them off my hands, so I'd appreciate info on stores that accept donations too. These are heavy books and I don't want to carry them all the way somewhere just to have someone sniff at them.

btw if any readers are interested I have some great LSAT prep books, and English dictionary and grammar set, english grammar for dummies, and some great novels, both hard and paperback.

Thanks a lot!

and you will do some good on top of it.
the site is in russian language, the info is from a 'knock and drop' newspaper that is distributed for free in each district.

"FROM HEART TO HEART"
For the Tushino Children's Hospital Nr 71, the Bibliothek ZBS Nr1 in the NE district of Moscow is having children's book action.
It does not say for what age, but i would assume it will be older kids as well and English might come handy for the library.
If you donate 50 books or more you get a Diploma and can win prices. and every donor will be put up on the library's website. They also take soft toys and i assume it is understood books with missing pages and dolls without arms and teddies with out ears are really not needed.
there is no tel.number or any concrete address on the ad but you can find out more on www.cbs1szao.su

or you can call 948-81 91 SMIRNOVA Elena Viktorovna, the Librarie's Director. the lady is very busy it seems and very hard to get hold of...

St Andrew's Church in Vosnesenskii Pereulok has a "Trash and Treasure" which will accept donations of books.

I think there are some other organisations in the Moscow Times community section:

It is because you've used wrong internet, as most of foreigners do.
Proper one gives you the list - a lot of "bukinist" shops in Moscow, just call them and ask:
