Not as scary as they make it out but smellier!

After much negotiation, and some begging on my companies part, I arrived last week.

Found an apartment, the nearest metro and a shop to buy food. I've even visited a couple of bars. So the question is - where are the good bars? Where do fellow exiles hang out? Where can I complain about being pushed around by large unwashed people on the metro with the safety of knowing that the guy opposite speaks my language and can empathize?

welcome to moscow.
where are you from?

as for the best bars, theres a few places where you can hang out, with the expat crowd, or just hang out crowds. whats your age group?

another option is, what area did you make your home, so as to focus the neighborhood hang out place.

Welcome!

Hang around here for a while and you'll pic up most of what you need to know about life in Moscow.
