Do you know anybody who is a member of some new religious movement (like Church of the Last Testament) or has had religious experience of the kind?

I thought "Vissarion" had been prevented by the Russian Govt?

Last I heard it was some rogue policeman in Siberia, who claims he is Christ. I met his supporters on a train near Novosibirsk once - very dangerous people indeed.

I checked out Rick Ross' site (cult watch), there are couple of articles on the ex-traffic- cop - turned-"Jesus of Siberia":

(there are more);

RGC, what do you mean by 'dangerous', as in believes or something else?

To answer the OP's question: I have a close friend who is a follower of a Buddhist cult - i find him no different than your average fitness junkie, a political activist or anyone else fixed on some idea...
(Of course, another friend, who goes to the gym twice a day six times a week, does not attribute supernatural powers to her PT, but other than that, i find them quite similar in their obsessions.)
