So who else is a little apprehensive ? What with all the earlier delays and then "the glitch" that they couldn't explain conclusively, if I were one of those astronauts, I'd be soiling myself about now, one hour before launch. Brave souls if you ask me, and I, for one, have my fingers crossed for 'em.

But that brings me to another interesting question. Where DO they go to the bathroom up there ? With no gravity, it can't be a pretty picture. Do they 'go' upside down ?

with a busted fuel gauge and therefore no way to tell how much gas they have, I hope they didn't "top off."

The toilet is a vacuum nozzle that you place over your opening...if you get my meaning. Hey, you asked.

America's first astronaut pissed his suit while still on the launch pad because they had a rather long delay before the launch.

4,500mph, 50 miles high.

In less than 60 seconds, Discovery weighs 1/2 of what it did on take off, that's a lot of fuel!

Gawd I missed it all stuck in a car and now the wife is watching that &%@(*!& SATC.

I'll catch the late news and be happy, I guess.

Good to know it was a safe launch tho!

What a glorious launch! There should be some good photo's/footage available given the number of cameras (170?) recording the event!

Be interesting to see how many paint chips and dings in the bodywork there are when they get it back to the garage.
