From now through November 28, 2010, St. Andrew's Anglican Church is collecting:
--non-perishable tinned or packeted food and non-alcoholic beverages
--new (or clean and serviceable second hand) blankets
--new gloves, hats, scarves, and dark-coloured socks
--essential toiletries

On Sunday November 28, these items will be blessed and handed over to the Salvation Army and the Friends of St. Egidio in Moscow to use in their ministry to those living on the edge.

If you'd like to contribute, please bring your donation to St. Andrew's Anglican Church (8, Voznesensky Pereulok [across the street from Marriott Courtyard Hotel]) between 9:00 and 21:00.

The desire of power in excess caused the angels to fall; the desire of knowledge in excess caused man to fall; but in charity there is no excess, neither can angel or man come in danger by it.

Every day from 9 to 21?

Yes. The church is open during those hours. You can tell the guard what it's for, and if there's not a service happening, he'll put it on the altar or accompany you while you do it.
