View Full Version : Car Insurance in Russia (and other myths)

Hi All!
I live in Kazan and a couple of months ago I bought a new Matiz. Of course I also purchased the requisite "liability" insurance. I also wanted "comprehensive-collision" insurance. For this component alone the insurance carrier wants a premium of 35,000 rubles for 1 years coverage. Is this typical in Russia? Seems a bit stiff to me, but on the other hand given the way people drive here (no description needed) it seems to be a necessary evil to have so much insurance. I would appreciate any positive input or advise on this. Many thanks!

Hi, it is OK with the money.

I think you`d better buy such a policy.
