View Full Version : Reputation Points & spreading them around!

I have searched for an answer but can not seem to find a clear explanation to how I can get around a minor irritation.

I am trying to give a user Reputation Points (RP) and am informed that I must spread it around others before I can give more to this same user!

The question is: How many others do I have to give RPs to before I can give RPs to an individual whom I have already given them to?

I accept the rules, of course, but it does not seem a sensible process as it can only encourage a scattergun approach to dishing out RPs to all and sundry in order to eventually be able to give them to somebody who actually deserves them.

Any explanantion or guidance would be very much appreciated....................!

The answer is 10...you can 're-give' after giving to 10 other users...

10 is coincidently, also the maximum times in any given 24 hour period that you can give rep points.

This might need re-looking at...will discuss with other admin.

Braders/DPG: I agree on Braders statement, that it should be lower then 10 before you can give out RP points again. How about 5 and max. 10 in 24h? But then again, if you want to honor more then 10 good posts (if there is such thing hehe, you have a problem. What is your opinion about this?

I got a message from unknown user recently, which was rude and
followed by a red reputation.

It says: "You whine too much. Shut it."

Do forum rules accept personal abuse here?

We shall get our team of investigators to have a look! ;)

In reality, unless someone sends you a PM or Reputation Rep and say they know where you live (and post your address) and they're going to cut you into small pieces, we just ignore such trivial comments.

Just to clear something up.

Anyone who themselves is in the Red cannot give you - rep points, anyone who has less than 100 posts their power rating will be either 0 or 1 depending on their rep.

Your reps gone up Britianski!
