View Full Version : Getting RF citizenship, questions.

I am a RF citizen, and my husband is from Western Europe. We got married 8 years ago in his country, I did not register our mariage in Russia,

My husband and I have been living 7 years in Russia. He, always with one year business visas.

The RF law allows him to get the RF citizenship, BUT concretely, how to do? Where to go? We are now living in Moscow, but really have no idea of how to begin!

Probably some people here went into the process, any help will be gladly accepted :)

Thank you

Why does your husband want to give up Western European citizenship and have RF citizenship?
Would it not be better for you take your husband's nationality?

I think this would be much easier.

I don't want his European citizenship, and he does want the Russian one. Strange, isn't it? Moreover he will also let his European citizenship. More strange, isn't it?

Maybe yes, it is also always easier to resign than to fight. In all domains.

Anyway, thank you for this constructive reply!

It might be quicker to use the search function and then ask a more specific question depending on what you find in the database!
