Has anybody bought a cat and had it chipped in Russia and taken it back to the UK using the Pet Travel scheme.
I have just had my cat chipped and I would like to know of any problems that might occur in the future.

I am interested in this too. Can somebody clear up the 'approved routes' bit?

My understanding is from Russia you can only fly NetJets, ie they cant go BA with you?

I was looking at this site yesterday, I think you can fly BA to Heathrow but cat needs to be a 'Cargo' rather than flying with you, and you have to arrange the quarantine just in case if they don't let the furball in.

I am quite sure some vets here in Moscow knows and completed the procedure before, problem is which ones !!!

I think practically all us expats seem to be using Valeria & her husband Yuri as their vets. They know what needs to be done. You can reach her at 8 501 439 3956
