Hi there!

I have a simple question: I'm in Moscow for still 3 months and I wanted to have "dreds" or "rasta". Like Bob Marley or smaller. I don't know how to do it and if someone wants to help me, I would be happy! I can pay for it but I really don't know are the actual prices for this. My hair are not that long, maybe to the shoulders.

thanks

I can imagine it being pretty expensive in a salon. Best to try www.jah.ru

Post on the forum, and you'll find somebody to do it for cheap.

It can take many hours, sometimes over days. When I was doing the Spring Break thing in Montego Bay, Jamaica years ago, a few female friends decided to get corn rows and dreads. Jamaican grannies would sit down beside the girls while they were sunning on the beach and for about $20 USD they'd get a new doo. It pretty much ruined their hair :)

Be warned that dreads (and corn rows to some extent) have to be washed less often than regular hair. I dated a girl with dreads for a while and used to call her stanky head because of the bees wax and oils she used to condition her medusa head regularly. It didn't last :)
