Hi folks,

as I'm moving to Moscow in 2 months and I hate cleaning and ironing, I was wondering, what a maid or housekeeper or cleaning lady (whatever you want to call it - in India it was maid) would take per hour, day, room or however they calculate their services in Russia.

I regularly hire one. I've never really investigated the market but I pay an aquivalent of $10/hour and it feel right. Or, for a day of honest Russian-style effort it is 1000 roubles ($30+). I usually provide a good snack/meal too however. No guarantee explicit or implied but I hope this bit of is of use in helping you make your decision.

Hello, I sometimes have part time housekeeping jobs, and my rate is 250 rubles (9$) per hour same with per day. But if you need a full time housekeeper the minimum monthly rate is 1,200$

sometimes it depends upon on how big is your place or flat and if its located near the center or outside moscow(meaning travelling far by bus or trains sometimes).rates range from 200-300 rubles per hour. cheaper during the day and if its in the center 200-250 rubles per hour.usually the housekeeper do a lot of work in the house from arranging furnitures so it will be more pleasant, ironing, washing, does clean everyday. a cleaning lady comes once/twice a week.sometimes twice a month.thats another rate. sometimes it costs $50 or more because the mess and the clutter wont be that easy to clean up.

its really up to you.if youll mess so much = youll pay more...

contact me, i might be of help...

The girl has a reference.
I'm just wondering what was wrong with other cleaning ladies who offered their service. Cause you had quite a few responses.
