We've all seen many films throughout our lives (but not all) and as we get older some films seem to evade our senses because they are thought to be old, outdated or not interesting. Films made 50 years ago would not have had the special effects as today, however, the stories are magnificent! . Recently I'd seen "Breakfast at Tiffany's". Amazing!

Anyone else have any similar revelations on old films with great stories which haven't been remade?

I like 'In cold blood', 'White heat' and 'For whom the Bell tolls' - 'The great escape' and 'Kelly's Heroes' are also good for a rainy sunday afternoon.

Exactly, what I wanted to mention!

+ Rehearsal of the orchestra!

+ Kleopatra (this movie made me be interested in History and then in travelling).

My fairy lady, Hello Dolly!

Then you might as well watch The Third Man, too.
