Does anyone know the best place to get a flight from UK (prefferably closest to scotland) to Moscow.

9 times out of ten the internet and i would browse Teletext in the UK as well.

a quick search on http://www.ebookers.com just got me

Edinburgh [EDI]
23 Jan 09:05 Moscow [SVO] 23 Jan 21:45 09h 40m
1 Stop / via Paris [CDG] Economy Moscow [SVO]

30 Jan 08:50 Edinburgh [EDI] 30 Jan 17:20 11h 30m
1 Stop / via Paris [CDG] Economy

Price: 201
Incl. of tax: 292.00

Luthansa from Manchester got me 160 quid without Tax and flight times of 7 hours, Czech Air was 154 quid.

Search the net and you'll find something better probably.

I've always found Opodo better than Expedia or buy your tickets directly form the Aeroflot office. The flights are 167 plus tax - about 205 altogether. The good thing is its a direct flight, only four hours.

when do u want to fly?
Transaero flies from edinburgh but that is seasonal
depends on when you want to fly.
Frankly it is better to go by train to London Euston and get either on Aeroflot or Transaero
transaero cheaper

Edinburgh to London Euston would take about 8 hours, cost a small fortune and mean an overnight stay.... fly to Schiphol or Charles De Gaulle straight from Edinburgh - I've done MAN - CDG - SVO before. Not the best flight - takes all day, but - cheaper than rail travel.

If your talking about trains don't take the west coast take the east cost Edinburgh-London in about 4 1/2 hours!!!

Try Czech Airlines - just got a good deal to Manchester via Prague $550 or at least I feel it is good, as it it is not London direct

sounds good
try to ask them for a free 24 hours stop over
sometimes works

That Transaero one is a good deal. Or you could get a flight to London and fly BA London- Edinburgh.

Failing that, I know KLM fly to Edinburgh via Schipol but that's usually not cheap, though you do get some decent young persons deals sometimes with them.
