Sky Sports | Football | Premier League | News | Chelsea handed transfer ban (http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_5535793,00.html)

You've got to be kidding?
What does it take to get banned from signing players????
Dealing with rogue countries? Bribing officials? Kidnapping???????

Oh, breach of contract!
Now that certainly does it!
Good luck Chelsea!

Chelsea will appeal and get the ban down to one transfer window.
Rules are Rules Max,Roman's hard earned money can't always bring glory.
I read the other day that Roman said somethig about the way Man City are buying players, that's a bit cheap coming from someone like Roman who started all this crazy transfer dealings in England.

That's rich from you, Roman! Chelsea chief urges rules to curb Man City's spending | Mail Online (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-1209595/Thats-rich-Roman-Chelsea-chief-urges-rules-curb-Man-Citys-spending.html)

There's no quotes in the article. It just says he supports Platini's stance on banning clubs from European competition if they don't break even.

With the crisis and clubs going out of business this is probably a good idea. I don't blame Roman for supporting common-sense even if it is a bit hypocritical.

I don't blame Roman for that either. After all he's Russian :D Finally a harsh decision. Well done. Now they have to suspend all of them :)

They could still loan players and then buy them out in a couple of years. No big deal.

Well I don't see the problem at all. The can send two world class team onto the pitch. No problemo.
