Assuming that certain animals were not dangerous, impossible to domesticate etc, what animal would you want to keep as a pet? I think in my case the answer is quite obvious, although I would also like to take at least one of the white tigers in the zoo home.

A border collie, boring of me but my old dog was mostly border collie and bless her she was wise, funny, friendly and many other good things, also an accomlished thief.

Oh, an adder would be nice if it was happy to act as a part time clothing accessorie, a live adder on my shoulde would be cool but understated.:D

A raccoon and a bear (any color), for psychological reasons. (One is how I see myself; the other is how I think other people see me.)

How about a 360 kilo, tame, male Amur tiger? :)

PS Ledka - is your Chow under veterinary care for that skin trouble? If not feel free to contact me for vet recommendations as well as the name of a medication which could treat the problem.

Only when it is a former polar bear who has lost 180 kilo and has had his fur dyed in a striped pattern, mainly because he could not keep white fur clean when posting on this Site ;) ;) ;)!

Blather, jabble, waffle...your standard fare.

But that break from your usual long-windedness was appreciated.

An utter non sequitur. Note that no one mentioned chinchilla as a favoured pet, for it is a puffed up rat, good only for its fur when slaughtered!

Your usual incoherent babble...fortunately there's always going to be a fertilizer market providing consistent demand for your drivel.

What a comeback - not! Most fertiliser nowadays is artificial and chemical, to say nothing of malodourous and polluting - kind of like your posts.

Maybe, but the hot air you consistently emit is all too real.

Come on, let's get this thread back on track (or bury it for all I care). ChinChillaKilla - abusing small rodents is really not funny!

Ideal home pet; A good dog that doesn't roam the neighborhood
causing trouble, knows the command 'Sit' does not have the letter H in it and refrains from humping your new dates leg (at least until you have a chance)

Australian blue heeler.

Have had monkies, bear, cats (large & small), wolves, a couple of American skunks, polecat, ferret, snakes, dogs, a fox.... for me, nothing beats a smart dog.

I always wanted a monkey, one that could be trained to do little chores or reach things for me from high shelves. What would be even better would be having my own long prehensile tail, but I think it would be really hard to find clothes that fit...

I've lived with women that tramp around the place like Elephants, women that are like Bulls in China shops so I'll go for a Rhino, I need a new can opener anyway.
