good fun

Guys, what if I propose you the real puzzle. It will take some efforts from you to solve it:
You have 4 figures: "5", "5", "5", "1".
Using simple operations "+","-","*""/" with that figures, get "24" as a result of calculations.
Note: use all four figures.

Who is the smartest person here, on Monday?

Oops. Edited for a wrong answer. Thought I had it.

1 / 5 = 0.2
5 - 0.2 = 4.8
4.8 * 5 = 24

(5/5 +5)*(5-1)=24

Tatiana, i do not want to be rude with you but you have used 4 times the number "5" and there are only 3 ;)

Tatiana cat

But I used all 4 calculations and you used only 3 of them... Well, I see the task... nothing about we should use all the calculations... so Kakrout, you won!

kak

the point (if i'm right) was to use all four figures: 3 "5" and 1 "1" ;)

I see already some comments...."you could have been more gentleman ! " ;):agree:

Kakrout, you are very gentle...
BTW, in the task it was stated to use all figures but it wasn't added: once only... Nothing about we can't use one number twice... In my opinion, the task wasn't clear...

Tatiana, let's say that finally we are the two more intelligent persons on this board this monday ;) since we are just the two of us talking mathematics ;)

Kakrout, it's a deal!!:)

Then you're going to have include me in that arrangement since Tatianna's version was what I intially wrote and then later removed/edited (for the very reason that Kakrout cites of using one number too many times).

So there.

kakrout! My cograteulations!!! You are the smartest person on Monday. Where this great math background come from?
Tanya, your efforts are very appreciated. As for the clear understanding of the task, please, read the note again. But I agree with kakrout you're another intelligent person.
"Vova", I'm always sorry. ;) ;) ;)
