Hi from the USA

We plan to be there in late August or early September and I would enjoy running with local folks, maybe 5 to 10 miles.

Also, do you know of a race during that time period?

Thank you very much.

If you are planning to live here, then you'd better pick a place near park areas... there are plenty of places suitable for jogging

though I don't know about any races :)

Hello, Zinnia!

Nice to hear that you're fond of running. Unfortunately, the running is not too popular hear. Hence there is quite a few(If I compare with number in US - that's for shure) local folks who runs on regular basis.

Here is one of my typical course (http://maps.google.com/maps?q=http:%2F%2Ftrail.motionbased.com%2Ftrail%2Fkml%2Fepisode.kml%3FepisodePkValues%3D7532224&ie=UTF8&t=h&z=14) I run. If you'de like to run on regular basis in that park - then you can live in "Frunzenskaya" area. Check it out at some point when you'll be here.

Here is running calendar (http://translate.google.ru/translate?prev=hp&hl=ru&u=http%3A%2F%2Fprobeg.org%2Fkalend%2Fk2009.php&sl=ru&tl=en) (whole russia) for 2009. Check for Moscow. For example next moscow marathon is [Marathon «Inspiration» Sri Chinmoi]. That will happen on March 14 2009.
