I darkly suspect my PC is dying.

If I have to replace it here, what are my chances of getting an operating system in English? Bought this machine in Vienna, so it is in German, and believe me, that's tough enough for me to deal with. Mr Elk is enterprising and all, but I could be so much more self-sufficient if I could read the damn messages.

Can't you wait till you next visit home? I heard that Mir Technik here (in SPB) can "obtain" windows os in english, but never tried it myself.

Not due to go to the States before July.

That's a long time with no Internet.

Mr. Hugs is right. When I bought my printer it came with an "English version". Also, when I bought my cell it came with English . . . so why not your OS?

Also, how about having someone come out for a look-see. Maybe it's just sick . . . Feed it some black-radish and honey juice!!

Just poking around the forums and noticed this, do you still need an English OS? Vista or XP? I have spare copes and will be over there in a few weeks.
