I have been receiving pop-ups on my TV screen in Russian. I have finally managed to find out I need to pay Kosmos TV 75.78 Rubles for the subscription before the end of this month. Where can I do that? Can that be done somewhere near Prospekt Mira? Question two, can I pay a month ahead as we'll be going home for some time in February?

Surely you can use one of those little "vending" machine things, no? You just need your account number and feed in rubles. They don't make change . . . and you can put in enough for this month and next month. If I can do it (although I have Stream), anyone can.

They are on every street corner, in the metro sometimes, at the grocery store . . . like where you buy phone time.

Hi!

About payments methods:

You should have the contract about Kosmos TV, the necessary information for payment there is specified (your account number).

It is the best way to call in support if you are not sure.

I will go to one of of those. One more question as I will be doing this and many other things for the first time. Do you need to enter your Kosmos-TV contract number besides an account number?

Thanks for the link. I will try a vending machine. Hopefully the Russian won't be too hard on me. Will bring a dictionary :-) If I can't figure it out I can always try one of these shops where you can pay as well.

This says you can also pay a Sberbank (bank with green and white signs), but you would need the account statement. I can talk you through that option if you decide to do it. The key here is to pick a branch of Sberbank that isn't busy. Some I find have lines (ugh), others never seem to have lines.

I will try the vending machine. I think they will charge me for their service at the bank. I will look up my contract number and bank account number and head for a vending machine later today. Will let you know when I have taken care of it successfully

The machines take a commission . . . I don't recall if the bank does or not. It is minimal.
