Medical service to expats in Moscow.

Dear Expats,
We are two doctors from India. At present we are working as general physicians in the MONIKI hospital, which is located in M.Prospect Mira. We would be please to offer our service to expats in Moscow.

- We can make house calls.
- All kind of testing and scanning can be made available at one place in our hospital itself.
- Specialist consultation can be arranged by our self if needed.
- We can speak good English and Russian.
- Charges are very reasonable comparatively to other centers.

Interested persons can contact us any time.

Our contact details are as follows:
Dr.Kumar,
Phone 8 903 6181009
e-mail mbbsrussia@yahoo.com

I think this is the last time this post should be re-posted.

Pay for an ad like everyone else.

Come on- doctors earn jack in this country- far less than the hundreds of EFL teachers who are allowed to post on here freely and as many times as they like and sadly also less than the housekeepers and drivers that we also see ads from, not to mention the landlords and agents who try to screw us all out of money for nothing.
Personally, I find ads from rich diplomats selling overpriced furniture or cars to each other (how many times do THOSE ads appear?) on here far more inappropriate.

If it really annoys you that much, don't open the thread.

i'm like, supposed to be moderating this folder Olim.
this same post has been posted probably close to at least ten times in several other folders.
there is a search function on the site that can be used to easily reference mr kumar's contact number and ads. no one is deleting his post (rather postS, of which there are several).
everyone else has to pay.

it's not that it "annoys me that much."

I do actually!! Seems I didn't catch them all though...

I agree with Polly.

At best it's free advertising which we don't allow, at worst, who knows whether the guy is licensed, qualified etc etc

You say you don't allow free advertising but in several of the folders (accommodation, lessons etc) ads make up at least 50 % of the total threads.

A blatant example of advertising can be seen at

http://www.expat.ru/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12660

though I expect this doesn't count as that's a clear case of "you scratch my back..."

i can't defend other peoples' policies, so i'll just let one of the big important people do it instead.
that said, i agree there is a bit of a "fine line" thing going on here. but there's a big, fat line between the potential consequences of getting a potentially inexperienced, unqualified english teacher and the potential consequences of seeing a potentially inexperienced, unqualified medical professional.

One of the guys who works behind the scenes on expat.ru posted that thread and that's why the thread wasn't edited or deleted, you're in safe hands Olim ;)
