Central House of Artists, situated in the Krimsky Val Street in Moscow (built in 1979), is a huge three-storied Exhibition center of modern art. On the vast territory of nearly 10 000 square meters it annually displays up to 300 picture-shows, visited by some 600 000 people. There are no permanent expositions – they rapidly change one another. Informal atmosphere of creativity in the House of Artists may be compared to the one of the legendary Stary. Artworks from allover Russia and foreign countries, of all genres and current tendencies are unified here under one roof: canvases and graphics, sculptures and decorative works. This is the place of beaming originative life where the latest arty-crafty ideas incarnate into unique modern masterpieces. Central House of Artists also houses a branch of State Tretyakov Gallery.

Most of the works represented at the House are for sale. The first floor is occupied by a plenty of art shops offering designer's jewelry, impressive Soviet posters, expensive art editions, chinaware, interior items, etc. The CHA joins together the whole variety of arts, that’s why it has lately appealed to carrying out the expositions of architecture, design, advertising, fashion and photography as well.
