    Cinema

I'm still searching the web for url's of Moscow Cinema's; in particular those which commonly or occasionnaly feature English-spoken or original versions of movies. Or any other way to find their showtimes.

I know the url of the

    - American Cinema (metro Kievskaya; Berezhkovskaya nab. #2 "Radisson-Slavyanskaya" hotel, 2nd floor. tel. 941-8747, 941-8875 (answering), 941-8641 (tickets) ):
    http://www.america-cinema.ru/en/

    - and the Dome Cinema (Prospekt Mira metro; Olimpiski prospekt, #18/1 "Renaissance in Moscow" hotel, tel. 931-9873). http://www.domecinema.ru/index.en.ht....2447608957428

But what about (even if webpage is only in Russian)
    - 35MM (metro Krasnye Vorota (red), Kurskaya (blue), Kitai-Gorod (orange); Pokrovskaya ulitsa, #47/24, Phone: 917-1883, 917-5492 );
    - Museum of Cinema (metro Barrikadnaya, Druginnikovskaya str #15, Phone: 255-9057, 255-9095)
    - Cinema Center = Kinotsenter (metro Barrikadnaya. Druginnikovskaya str, #15, tel. 255-9057,255-9095)
    - Illusion (metro Taganskaya or Kitai Gorod, Kotelnicheskaya emb., #1/15 (Stalin's skyscraper), Phone: 915-4353, 915-4339)
    - Rolan Cinema (metro Chistie Prudi, Turgenevskaya; Chistoprudniy bulvar #12a, Phone: 916-9190, 916-9412)

    Thanks for your help,

While you are quite correct, and the link is useful, it conjures up a funny image of some expat who can't speak Russian, going to an English webpage to find information about cinemas which only show Russian translations of films!!

There was a thread about this in the past. Only two theaters show movies in English and you've found them already.

35 at Krasnye Vorota shows captioned non-mainstream movies from all over the world. I never heard of another place showing movies in English unless it's part of some film festival.

What about the big theater on Tverskaya, used to be called the Kodak behind TGI Fridays? I am not sure about the last few years, but about 5-6 years ago, they used to show American movies in English and then also in Russian as well in another room or at different times. When shown in English, they would have voice over via headphones and / or subtitles. I have not been in there in years, but used to go thre almost every other week to watch movies.

    cinema on tverskaya...

..is now called 'kodak kinomir' and no more english language films...

BUT WHAT THEY HAVE AND WHY I GO THERE:
they have an old fashined pinball machine!!!!'flipper' we called them in austria, with real balls and the 'tilt' factor is quite good, you can shake it a little bit and it will not turn of immideatley. 20 ruble a coin, can be bought at the popcorn counter....
